Us believers at one time were spiritually indebted to sin. Separated from God. We were destined for hell.
Thankfully, Jesus paid the debt, and justice has been served. All sins— past, present and future have been expunged from our criminal records. God through a sovereign act of love served the sentence for us.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith. We have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2
Our heavenly Father is the God of second chances. Forgiving His prodigal children. Allowing them to enjoy the treasures of His Kingdom.
Yet, so many refuse or cannot forget their past. A self-imposed force field of shame and guilt surround their hearts. Shielding them from the light of God’s grace and forgiveness.
Day after day they swear: “I’ll do whatever it takes to clean up my act. Maybe if I do more of it. The Lord will love me. Forgetting the despicable things I have done.”
Measure how high heaven is above the earth. God’s wide, loving, kind heart is greater for those who revere Him.
You see, God takes all our crimes— our seemingly inexhaustible sins— and removes them. As far as east is from the west, He removes them from us.
An earthly father expresses love for his children. It is no different with our heavenly Father. The Eternal shows His love for those who revere Him.
For He knows what we are made of, He knows our frame is frail, and He remembers we came from dust.
The children of Adam are like grass. Their days are few. They flourish for a time like flowers in a meadow. As the wind blows over the field and the bloom is gone. It doesn’t take much to blow us out of the memory of that place.
But the unfailing love of the Eternal is always and eternal for those who reverently run after Him. He extends His justice on and on to future generations. To those who will keep His bond of love and remember to walk in the guidance of His commands. Psalm 103:11-18
Beloved, it is you, not God who has not forgotten your past. Say goodbye to the darkness of the past. Run into the arms of your heavenly Father. He is waiting to welcome you home!
Be a VOICE in the deafening sound of sameness!
