Anyone who has attended church for any period of time has heard stories about David, the tenderhearted warrior.
David, the adolescent would-be-king of Israel who defeated the giant, Goliath, while the army of Israel looked on in disbelief and envy.
David, immortalized in song as having slain ten thousand men.
David, who authored many of the psalms that lovingly extolled Papa’s majesty, trustworthiness and faithfulness.
David, recognized by Papa as a man after His own heart. Doing all that was asked of him.
David, eternally inscribed in the annals of eternity as the forefather of Jesus.
By dying to self, David’s heart was fiercely and passionately surrendered to Papa.
You too can have like David’s. A heart that…
Refuses to embrace the culture’s definition of reality. Those values, priorities and dreams that contradict Papa’s truth.
Worships only Christ, the Son of the living God.
Has no illusions of grandeur. Understanding that Papa is sovereign, and His Kingdom is not a democracy.
Gratefully acknowledges Christ as the Kingdom’s sovereign King.
Your King is waiting for you, His loyal subject to kneel before Him.
If you are wise, you will re-gift your life— your heart, relationships, finances, dreams, everything! Wrap these gifts in love and gratefulness and lay them at the feet of King Jesus. In return, He promises to treat each gift as His own.
And if it is in the hands of King Jesus, satan cannot touch it!
I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death.
Philippians 3:10 (New Living Translation)
