This love affair Papa has with His earthly family is at times incomprehensible. Knowing all our dark secrets, and the evil we have and are capable of inflicting. Still He passionately and relentlessly pursues us. Even in those seasons when we are prodigals.
Gifting us with His love by…
Having others lovingly care for us.
Providing temporal blessings.
Instilling within us a hope for a better tomorrow.
Yes, Papa is continually wooing His children. Enticing them into the only relationship that heals a wounded heart— an authentic and intimate relationship with Him.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him. This is how we know that we love God’s children. When we love God and obey His commands. For this is what love for God is— to keep His commands.
Now His commands are not a burden because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world— our faith. And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
