Country musicians sing about it.
Poets lament over it.
The brokenhearted cry because of it.
What is it?
The heart.
The heart is so important to God that it is the most discussed subject in the bible.
Many today, including Christians are in need of a heart transplant. Having built their identity upon image rather than authenticity. They are unable to honestly address their issues. Instead, pretending all is well.
If you are tired of living a lie, embrace the transformation process. Allow the Refiner’s fire to purify your heart.
Consider it a great joy whenever you experience various trials. Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4
As the impurities of toxic thinking and unbelief are removed from your heart. It becomes more like Christ’s.
STRONGER
No longer defined or defeated by negative circumstances. Assured that if God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all. Won’t He also give us everything else?
Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one. For God himself has given us right standing with himself.
Who then will condemn us? No one. For Christ Jesus died for us. And was raised to life for us. And He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Pleading for us. Romans 8:31-34
HOPEFUL
You are now capable of envisioning an honorable and victorious life. Since everything that has been fathered by God overcomes the corrupt world. 1 John 5:4
FAITHFUL
No longer relying upon the meager promises of man but the powerful promises of Almighty God. Knowing God’s way is perfect. The word of the Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. 2 Samuel 22:31
HUMBLE
Graciously submitting to the Refiner and His sovereignty. Wholeheartedly believing the Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8
EXCELLENCE
The Refiner and His Kingdom are the center of your universe. Bringing Him glory is the cry of your heart. So you do your work willingly. As though you were serving the Lord himself, and not just your earthly master. Colossians 3:23
Yes, a heart transplant is not painless! But it is life giving!
