Immaturity is why many who call themselves Christian look no different today than when they initially made a confession of faith in Jesus. Not understanding that it is your heart, not your circumstances that is the battlefield in this war for your soul.
Unfortunately, many Christians’ hearts are more like a black hole than a well guarded fortress. Whatever tickles their fancy, whether righteous or unrighteous, is allowed entrance. Believing they are powerless to control their thought lives, the devil’s lies become their reality. Yes, these Christians may think they truly love Jesus.
If satan controls their minds, he is the god of their world.
Today more than ever Christians must heed this admonishment of Paul.
I have a lot more to say about this, but it may be hard for you to follow since you’ve become dull in your understanding. By this time, you ought to be teachers yourselves. Yet I feel like you want me to reteach you the most basic things that God wants you to know. It’s almost like you’re a baby again, coddled at your mother’s breast, nursing, not ready for solid food.
No one who lives on milk alone can know the ins and outs of what it means to be righteous and pursue justice. That’s because he is only a baby. But solid food is for those who have come of age. For those who have learned through practice to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:11-14
To distinguish good from evil one can’t compromise. Total surrender to Papa’s righteousness— His rules of engagement on this side of eternity is mandatory. You must believe the word of the Lord is right. All His work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice. Psalm 33:4-5
So get rid of all uncleanness and all that remains of wickedness. With a humble spirit receive the word of God which is implanted, actually rooted in your heart.Which is able to save your souls. Prove yourselves doers of the word, actively and continually obeying God’s precepts. Not merely listeners who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning. Deluding yourselves by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth.
For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror. For once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like. But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it. Not having become a careless listener who forgets, but an active doer who obeys. He will be blessed and favored by God in what he does in his life of obedience. James 1:21-25
You must learn to recognized sin— evil and say no to it. Something that is becoming increasingly difficult because the world whitewashes, ignores, confines to children’s fairy tales or redefines the concept of evil. The belief in and devotion to absolute truth is unilaterally rejected. Thanks to humanistic philosophies and political correct doctrines, good and evil are continually redefined.
Personal intentions no longer are considered the source of one’s actions, good or bad. Genetics, cultural expectations, environmental factors have replaced free will as the watchdog of human behavior.
When Papa created man. He gave man not only the ability but also His permission to make choices— free will. This ability to choose a course of action from among various alternatives is what separates man from all creation.
You have a choice. You can either obey Papa— the Father of righteousness and life or satan— the father of sin and death.
If you think you can overcome evil singlehandedly without Papa’s grace and wisdom, welcome to a life of defeat.
Amazing Grace is a song that touches the very marrow of your soul. Frequently played at funerals and times of great suffering and sorrow. It showcases Papa’s loving kindness, mercy and compassion for His children. Ministering to our pain and offering us hope.
If you desire Papa to be the center of all things, you will need His grace.
Your flesh and spirit are at war with one another. The innate selfishness of your mind and body will gravitate towards sin unless you allow Papa to infuse you with His grace and wisdom.
You must raise the white flag of surrender!
You learn the art of surrender in the place called solitude— separation from the world. Willingly posting the Please Disturb sign on your heart. Inviting Papa into every facet of your life.
As you draw nearer to Papa, your spiritual insight increases. His majesty, divine power and truth move from the realm of the theoretical to the concrete.
Submitting to Papa’s will is an act of spiritual maturity and intelligence.
Unfortunately, many fail to hear Papa’s voice because of their lifestyles. Believing the lie that solitude is something to be avoided, pitied or condemned.
They fill their environments with noise because the quiet makes them uneasy.
They settle for relationships devoid of affection and respect because it is preferable to being alone.
They treat illnesses with medication instead of rest.
Nothing satisfies the hunger in their souls. A hunger that is only satiated when they surrender to Papa’s plan for their lives.
It’s time to raise the white flag and surrender to the One who promises freedom, not imprisonment. Freedom to…
Worship Him in spirit and truth.
Open the previously locked doors of the Kingdom.
Pursue your Kingdom destiny.
Live a life of abundance.
Reign here on earth and in the heavens.
