Sadly, many who call themselves Christian are more like New Agers than disciples of Christ. It’s all about I.
If I follow the ten commandments…
If I study the bible daily…
If I pray daily…
If I go to church and fellowship with other believers…
If I serve my fellow man…
I’ll be happy.
I’ll be successful.
I’ll be protected from the woes of life.
I’ll be admired.
I’ll be worthy.
BUT
If your heart is continually focused on you and your circumstances, then they aren’t on the One who truly possesses the transformational power. As with everything in Papa’s Kingdom, it’s a heart issue.
What are your motives?
Are you seeking Papa’s approval or man’s?
Are you desiring Papa’s glory or yours?
Are you a vessel of Papa’s compassion or the culture’s ideal of social justice?
Are you depending on Papa’s divine supernatural power or manipulating the optics?
Are you establishing the foundation of your life on faith in Papa’s truth or empirical observation and the examination of human life as the pathway to truth.
Join the growing multitude who are abandoning the “me philosophy” of the current age. Seek Papa and His rules of engagement, and everything else will fall into place.
“Not to us Lord, not to us—no, but to Your own name give glory because of Your loyal love and faithfulness!”
Psalm 115:1
