Love one another as Jesus has loved us.

Too many “Christians” believe merely repeating a prayer of salvation or going to church is their get out of hell free card. Nothing more is required.

The result?

The transformational power of Christ is nonexistent in their lives. Making it difficult to distinguish them from non-believers because they have forgotten or ignored this teaching of Jesus.

Someone asked Him, “Lord, will only a few be saved from the penalties of the last judgment?”

He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. Force aside unbelief and the attractions of sin. For many, I tell you, will try to enter by their own works and will not be able. Once the head of the house gets up and closes the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door.

Again and again, saying, ‘Lord, open to us!’

Then He will answer you, ‘I do not know where you are from for you are not of My household.’

Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’

But He will say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from. Depart from Me, all you evildoers!’

“In that place there will be weeping in sorrow and pain and grinding of teeth in distress and anger when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out and driven away.” Luke 13:23-28

For if we go on willfully and deliberately sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice to atone for our sins. That is, no further offering to anticipate, but a kind of awful and terrifying expectation of divine judgment, and the fury of a fire and burning wrath. Which will consume the adversaries— those who put themselves in opposition to God.

Anyone who has ignored and set aside the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much greater punishment do you think he will deserve who has rejected and trampled under foot the Son of God? And has considered unclean and common the blood of the covenant that sanctified him? And has insulted the Spirit of grace who imparts the unmerited favor and blessing of God? Hebrews 10:26-29

Papa never allows evil to destroy His truth— righteousness— Jesus, or His children who abide in His truth— righteousness— Jesus.

Papa is a holy God who must destroy evil. To not do so is an act of evil itself!

That’s why He warns us, “Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed.

Hate evil and love what is good. Turn your courts into true halls of justice.” Amos 5:14-15

Thankfully, Papa has provided an inextinguishable Light to illuminate evil, and His name is Jesus.

The Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For every wrongdoer hates the Light and does not come to the Light, but shrinks from it for fear that his sinful, worthless activities will be exposed and condemned.

But whoever practices truth and does what is right morally, ethically, spiritually comes to the Light. So that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are. Accomplished in God. Divinely prompted. Done with God’s help in dependence on Him. John 3:19-21

You have a part to play in the battle with evil. You must actively resist evil, or it will silently and stealthy interweave itself into the tapestry of your life. Offense, prejudice and hatred will replace understanding and empathy. Which leads to distrustfulness and un-forgiveness— the antithesis of mercy.

No longer outwardly focused, temporal security and instant gratification become priorities. Self-perseveration, maintaining control and flaunting power govern the decision making process. The “greater good” becomes an obsolete concept as justice fades into the sunset.

You have a choice— Light or darkness. Don’t delay. Choose Jesus and live a repentant life today.

Thanks Kathy! I don’t know how people navigate life without Jesus. He’s my anchor in the storm.

Be a VOICE shouting in the silence. Lets love others!
