Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become tired or grow weary. There is no searching of His understanding.
He gives strength to the weary. To him who has no might, He increases power.
Even youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly,
But those who wait for the Lord. Who expect, look for, and hope in Him will gain new strength and renew their power. They will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rising toward the sun. They will run and not become weary. They will walk and not grow tired. Isaiah 40:28-31
The majestic eagle spends most of its life high above the earth, free from danger and captivity. Its power, beauty and independence distinguish it from all other birds. It has extremely keen eyesight and can spot dinner and danger from afar.
Disciples of Christ are protected from danger— satan’s lies and temptations.
IF
Papa’s wisdom and truth builds both the foundation and perimeters of their lives.
Did you know the eagle’s beak continually grows throughout its life, and that it uses a rock as its emery board? Rubbing its beak back and forth on the rock until irregularities that would interfere with its ability to capture and eat food are removed.
Trials and tribulations are your heart’s emery board. Smoothing away those imperfections that interfere with you ability to walk in your Kingdom destiny with honor and holiness. Imperfections such as…
Self-centeredness.
Self-destruction.
Self-doubt.
Self-hate.
Self-pity.
Self-righteousness.
Self-reliance.
Self-serving.
So the next time Papa tells you it’s time for a manicure. Why don’t you stand on top of a rooftop and shout to the world?
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety for You will not leave my soul among the dead or allow Your holy one to rot in the grave. You will show me the way of life. Granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever,
Psalm 16:9-11
