Love one another as Jesus has loved us.

Jesus tells us, “He who believes in Me. The works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father.”  John 14:12

What works could be greater than those performed by Jesus?

What if it’s not the works themselves, but the conditions under which these works are done that make them greater?  Conditions of…

Utter hopelessness.

Only the Holy Spirit and you are in agreement.

Darkness so intimidating, demons laugh when you speak. Confident nothing will happen.

Could a disciple of Christ’s faith be so great that Papa’s power flows into your life without you asking?

An unequivocal yes!

I believe the woman with the issue of blood is a forerunner of this type of faith.

When Jesus came back to Galilee, there came a man named Jairus who had for a long time been a director of the synagogue. Falling at the feet of Jesus. He begged Him to come to his house for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.

As Jesus went, the people pressed together around Him almost suffocating Him. A woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years and had spent all her living upon physicians and could not be healed by anyone came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment. Immediately her flow of blood ceased.

Jesus said, “Who is it who touched Me?”

When all were denying it, Peter and those who were with Him said, “Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side!”

But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me. I perceived that healing power has gone forth from Me.”

When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice. She came up trembling, and falling down before Him she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him, and how she had been instantly cured.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith— your confidence and trust in Me has made you well! Go enter into peace” Luke 8:41-48

Jesus, from the age of twelve knew His destiny was to be about His Father’s business— Papa’s business. So, when you read that He was on His way to Jarius’s house. You know Papa had instructed Him to go there.

Jesus who never allowed anyone or anything to prevent Him from obeying Papa’s command was delayed. Delayed because a woman’s faith moved Papa’s heart.

Although it isn’t written that the woman was Jewish, her unwillingness to reveal herself to Jesus suggests she was. Under Levitical Law whenever a woman has a bloody discharge for a long time, which is not during her menstrual period. Or whenever she has a discharge beyond her menstrual period, the duration of her unclean discharge will be like the period of her menstruation. She will be unclean. Leviticus 15:25

For a Jew, uncleanness and sin were synonymous. Therefore, the ramifications for this woman were enormous! Physical contact with others was forbidden. She could not enter the temple and worship. But worst of all, her relationship with Papa was severed because she no longer was able to participate in the required religious rituals. Imagine twelve years of…

But this all disappeared that day when her faith received Jesus’s healing power.

Like Moses, Abraham, David, the Old Testament prophets, this woman had bold faith.

These heroes all died still clinging to their faith, not even receiving all that had been promised them. But they saw beyond the horizon the fulfillment of their promises and gladly embraced it from afar. They all lived their lives on earth as those who belonged to another realm.

Clearly, those who live this way are longing for the appearing of a heavenly city. If their hearts were still remembering what they left behind, they would have found an opportunity to go back. But they couldn’t turn back for their hearts were fixed on what was far greater. That is the heavenly realm!

So because of this God is not ashamed in any way to be called their God, for He has prepared a heavenly city for them. Hebrews 11:13-16

Beloved, it’s time for more spiritual heroes to step forward. The battle for souls is raging!

Be courageous!

Be bold!

Be worthy to be called mighty warriors of faith!

Be a VOICE shouting in the silence. Lets love others!
