In today’s American culture image is king. So it is in the American Church. Many have adopted a list of do’s and don’ts, rituals and social gatherings as their Christian image. Refusing to acknowledge the only image acceptable to Papa is the image of Christ.
Many consider pursuing a biblical worldview and spiritual transformation not worth the investment. So they settled for spiritual mediocrity and compromise.
Searching for absolute truth. Nurturing an intimate and authentic relationship with Almighty God. Both are secondary to discovering biblical precepts that will ensure personal happiness, success and security.
Service. Sacrifice. Obedience. Accountability. Humility. Compassion. These are situational— when convenient or self-gratifying.
Rather than building lives on the foundation of Papa’s truth and wisdom— Jesus Christ. Many choose to place their confidence in their education. Physical appearance. Material possessions. Occupation. Talents. Accomplishments. People’s opinions.
Christians should be men and women whose hearts are wildly in love with Jesus Christ. A noble King who despite the disloyalty of His subjects never abandons them. Never stops loving them.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. So they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. Who is the image of God.
