Silence Papa’s voice.
Nullify Papa’s glory in your life.
Weaken your ability to defend yourself against satan’s destructive schemes.
Damage your witness as a disciple of Christ.
Sadly, instead of allowing Papa to remove unrighteous behaviors and paradigms, many make contingency plans.
“If I am emotionally stronger, my heart will heal, and the pain will vanish.
And if that does not work, I will bury the pain so deep. That it is erased from my memory.
And if that does not work, I will numb it with alcohol, drugs, food, sex, shopping. Whatever it takes.
And if that does not work, I will be more rational and logical. Deadening my emotions so pain can no longer wrap its barbed arms around me.”
Sadly, these “if that does not work” strategies slowly nail the lids shut on their coffins. Slowly dying. They join the multitude that has lamented, “If only I had never been born!”
Thankfully, the Great Physician, Jesus is on call and will do whatever is necessary to heal you. His medicine may leave a bitter taste in you mouth, but it is for your own good.
