Are you a rat on a sinking ship?
Expending valuable energy pursuing the dreams of others?
Blindly seeking purpose?
Foolishly chasing the pleasures of life?
Lost in a maze because of self-defeating paradigms?
That once was me until I fled into the loving arms of Jesus. Choosing to confess with BOTH my heart and mind that Jesus is Lord of my life.
No longer imprisoned by my rebellion— my sin. I was raised from the dead.
Along the way I have learned salvation is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing, evolving process.
Salvation is deliverance from the eternal fires of hell AND destructive paradigms and behaviors which keep you imprisoned here on earth. Making you vulnerable to the evil schemes of satan and your fellow man.
Salvation is the street of gold that leads to a life of excellence, prosperity and victory.
Sadly, many Christians never experience the fullness of their salvation. Not truly believing it is an honor and privilege to be a disciple of Christ. That it demands your undying devotion.
As a devout disciple of Christ you are to work hard to show the results of your salvation. Obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you. Giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. Philippians 2:12-13
While Jesus was here on earth He offered prayers and pleadings with a loud cry and tears to the One who could rescue Him from death. God heard His prayers because of His deep reverence for God. Even though Jesus was God’s Son. He learned obedience from the things He suffered. Hebrews 5:7-8
Be assured. There will be times of suffering, pain, uncertainty, hopelessness. Do not be misled by those who would have you believe. Once you become a Christian. You will no longer encounter the woes of life.
Nothing could be further from the truth that Jesus taught and lived. Warning all. In this world you will be plagued with times of trouble. John 16:33
But being the good Savior He is. Jesus gives us this promise.
In Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. Be of good cheer! Take courage! Be confident! Certain! Undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. John 16:33
Sadly, many Christians during times of trouble ignore this promise. Allowing themselves to be enslaved by their selfish desires. Which inevitably spawn destructive behaviors.
This is something Gomer, wife of the prophet Hosea allowed to control her life.
Gomer’s story proves no one is beyond redemption. God’s salvation is not exclusive. All are welcome, regardless of their sinful past or present.
GO DEEPER
Yes, you are at war. But fear not! Christ’s resurrection has given you the authority and power to defeat satan.
Not only does the Lord’s gift of salvation deliver you from the eternal fires of hell. If you will…
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do.
He will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
