Overtime Abram, through both successes and failures, learned to trust the Lord. Abram also learned that whenever you choose to venture into the unknown in obedience to the Lord. The Lord stands ready to reveal Himself to you. Transforming you and your life into one of abundance.
Jesus Himself defines abundant life as one of “good fruit.” There is no good tree which produces bad fruit. Nor on the other hand a bad tree which produces good fruit. For each tree is known by its own fruit.
For men do not gather figs from thorns. Nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good. The evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil. For his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart. Luke 6:43-46
Make sure no one deceives you. The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. The one who practices sin is of the devil. For the devil has sinned from the beginning.
The Son of God appeared for this purpose— to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin because His Seed abides in him. He cannot sin because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious. Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God. 1 John 3:7-10
Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them. I will show you whom he is like. He is like a man building a house. Who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock, and when a flood occurred. The torrent burst against that house and could not shake it because it had been well built.
But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation. The torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:46-49
Since all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus. You must build your life upon His righteousness not yours. Do not be deceived. It requires hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Like Peter you must humbly acknowledge you are evil. That without Jesus’s righteousness you are doomed to a life of wickedness.
When Jesus came announcing repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He was putting both the earth and the supernatural realm on notice. His Father’s will on earth will be accomplished because Jesus conquers evil. Liberating His disciples from the bondage of self and satan.
When Adam sinned. Sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death. So death spread to everyone. For everyone sinned. Everyone died from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. Even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did.
Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ who was yet to come. But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.
And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God. Even though we are guilty of many sins.
For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness. For all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:12 and 14-17
But in a culture where sin— evil is whitewashed. Ignored. Confined to children’s fairy tales. The belief in and adherence to absolute Truth— God’s Word is unilaterally rejected. Good and evil continually redefined. Personal intentions no longer the source of one’s actions, good or bad. Genetics, cultural expectations and environmental factors replacing free will as the regulator of human behavior.
Refusing to acknowledge that man is inherently evil. Predisposed to sinning. Diabolically weakens individuals’ and cultural expectations for good will towards others. Stealthy replacing compassion and justice with autonomy and independence. Self-preservation becoming the primary focus.
The nature of evil is to remain hidden. So evil assumes disguises that appear benign.
As the time of Jesus’s return nears, satan’s schemes will be cunningly deceptive. Understand that the last days will be dangerous times. People will be selfish and love money. They will be the kind of people who brag, and who are proud. They will slander others, and they will be disobedient to their parents. They will be ungrateful, unholy, unloving, contrary and critical. They will be without self-control and brutal. They won’t love what is good. They will be people who are disloyal, reckless and conceited. They will love pleasure instead of loving God. They will look like they are religious but deny God’s power. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
I believe we are living in dangerous times.
FEAR NOT!
Jesus is our victory!
Be a VOICE shouting into the wilderness.
“CHRIST is returning!”
