Peeling away the layers of your identity. From whom you thought you were to who you were created by God to become. Is not always easy or painless.
Some layers come off quickly and easily. Tossed into the trash. Forever forgotten.
But then there are those layers that form the core of your being.
Building the foundation of your life.
The lighthouse whenever you found yourself lost in the darkness of the unknown.
Stubborn layers. Protesting untiringly. Resisting change at all costs.
Coaxing you to forget about finishing the journey to becoming God’s version of you.
Convincing you the pain will be unbearable and never ending.
Clouding your judgment so you cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.
This has been my battle for the past few months.
Making some of the most difficult decisions of my life.
Saying goodbye to a destructive relationship.
Standing upon God’s promises. Persistently walking by faith, not by sight.
Eliminating no longer productive activities and thought paradigms.
Reorganizing how I invest my time and treasure.
Although there is still work to be done, the end is near.
I know I am standing at the door of this next season. Hand on the doorknob. Ready to walk through.
Like me, many of you have been in a holding pattern. Waiting to land. Experience the breakthrough you have been tenaciously seeking, sometimes for years.
Yes, the turbulence has been great! But it is time to land my friends.
Make your Papa proud and become His version of you.
I know you can do it.
More importantly, the Lord does!
Be a VOICE shouting into the wilderness.
“CHRIST is returning!”
