The intellectually enlightened would say faith is
▪ illogical.
▪ irrational.
▪ unscientific.
▪ foolish.
▪ crazy.
▪ ridiculous.
▪ absurd.
▪ silly.
▪ unreasonable.
Reserved for the desperate and misguided.
I once was one of the “enlightened”. Proudly promoting my many prestigious titles.

But this all changed one summer morning fifteen years ago. When I had an unforgettable encounter with the Lord. My heavenly Father with arms opened wide welcomed His prodigal child home. Showering me with His love and grace. Silencing the emptiness that had been shouting its name for decades.
God’s grace surrounds us. Enveloping all in its love and strength. Not reserved just for followers of Jesus but for ALL God’s children. A concept many have difficulty understanding or accepting.
The religious say, “That’s not fair! How can God love someone who rejects Him, even curses Him?”
How?
GOD IS LOVE!
God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love. Not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:9-10
The lost and hurting ask, “Then why do bad things happen?”
Why?
GOD IS LOVE!
God is patient with us. Not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
For many pride and rebellion silence God’s invitation. Only in the darkness do they reach out to grab His hand. Allowing Him to pull them out of the pit they dug for themselves.
Confessing, I know that You can do anything, and no one can stop You.
You asked, “Who is this that questions My wisdom with such ignorance?”
It is I, and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me.
I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.” Job 42:1-6
The atheist would ask, “How can there be grace if there is no god?”
How?
GOD IS LOVE!
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak. Night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a sound or word. Their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. Psalm 19:1-4
Yes, the grandeur of God’s grace abounds to ALL His children, not just a chosen few.
Why?
GOD IS LOVE!
Think of it this way. If your son asked you for bread, would you give him a stone? Of course not! You would give him a loaf of bread.
If your son asked for a fish, would you give him a snake? No, to be sure you would give him a fish. The best fish you could find.
So if you, who are sinful know how to give your children good gifts. How much more so does your Father in heaven who is perfect know how to give great gifts to His children! Matthew 7:9-11
The Lord knew if you and I could intellectually understand faith. We would think it originated with us. We were somehow responsible, and pride would rear its ugly head.
If you will say goodbye to self-reliance and pride, faith in Jesus will move from the realm of the theoretical to the concrete. No longer reserved for the desperate or misguided but for the spiritually mature and intellectually enlighten. For you!
