Love one another as Jesus has loved us.

concrete-roofs-1For the past fifteen years I have been on a transformational journey. Becoming a woman after God’s own heart— a jewel of incomparable worth.

In my quest to become this person, Proverbs 31:10-31 has been an invaluable source. Teaching me how to live a life of excellence. So both my character and actions honor the Lord.

Soon after vowing to pursue the Lord no matter the cost. I made prayer a priority. Beginning each day with prayer. Something I learned from Proverbs 31:15.

She rises while it is yet night and gets spiritual food for her household and assigns her maids their tasks. (Amplified)

Prayer is your roof. Protecting you from the damaging elements of this fallen world.

Have you ever noticed a roof always points upwards, never downwards or outwards? Prayer forces you to look upwards to God for answers instead of inward to yourself or outward to your fellow man.

The Holy Spirit indwells in you if your are a believer. Empowering you to pray according to God’s will. Gifting you with the ability to communicate spirit-to-Spirit— to talk to God.

Although not endorsed by all Christian denominations. Those who pray in the Spirit— tongues wholeheartedly testify to how much easier and intimate praying is. For the one who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men but to God. For no one understands or catches his meaning. Because in the Holy Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things not obvious to the understanding. (1 Corinthians 14:2 Amplified)

This supernatural communication allows the Holy Spirit to intercede for you. Also during the exchange the Holy Spirit is searching your heart. Removing whatever is contrary to the will of God. Replacing it with God’s righteousness and divine revelations— His Truth.

While giving you immediate, intimate and unobstructed access to your Father. This supernatural exchange refreshes, edifies and strengthens your heart. Which is vital during those seasons in the wilderness— the time between God’s promise and its fulfillment.

This spiritual language adds power and passion to your praise of Almighty God. Whenever words cannot express your love and gratefulness for the Trinity and their presence in your life. You can mail a love letter to heaven via praying in the spirit.

Paul who was the author of approximately two-thirds of the New Testament frequently prayed and sung in the Spirit. In gratefulness he wrote. I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all. (1 Corinthians 14:18 NKJV)

If you have any doubt the Lord is waiting for you to talk to Him. Forget about it! With the Holy Spirit’s intercession, God will hear your prayers and answer them by making you more and more like Him. Changing you into His glorious image!

Be a VOICE in the deafening sound of sameness!
