Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement or destructively. Using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble. Yehuda Berg

Yet, so many abuse or waste their power. Spitting them out into the atmosphere with little to no forethought. Unknowingly cursing themselves and others. Making vows they have no intention of keeping. Purposefully destroying relationships and novel ideas.

Thankfully, there are those who follow the wisdom described in Proverbs 16.

The king speaks with divine wisdom. He must never judge unfairly. (verse 10)

The king is pleased with words from righteous lips. He loves those who speak honestly. (verse 13)

The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive. (verse 21)

From a wise mind comes wise speech. The words of the wise are persuasive. (verse 23)

Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (verse 24)

Scoundrels create trouble. Their words are a destructive blaze. (verse 27)

Gossip separates the best of friends. (verse 28)

Yes, words are a creative force. For those of you who think before you speak, THANK YOU! THANK YOU for being a positive creative force! THANK YOU for emulating Almighty God!

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
