- fresh start
- heartbreaking ending
How many times have you heard someone say?
- Change isn’t easy.
- Every cloud has a silver lining.
- Time heals all wounds.
- Tomorrow will be a better day.
- This won’t last forever.
- What’s in the past needs to stay in the past.
- Change is inevitable.
Your paradigm— thought process about change is a conditioned response. A response formed from your experiences and the experiences of others. Determining whether change is internalized as a positive or negative event.
What can you do so that when change occurs it does not send you running for cover?
Change is inevitable.
Change happens all the time and is a basic part of being human. Anticipating the possibility of change helps you to better prepare for it. Lessening the negative impact change has upon your life.
Focus on what is really important.
Change always means loss of safety and security, relationships, competence or mission and purpose. By prioritizing— looking at the bigger picture. You are able to regain a sense of control and purpose.
Be kind to yourself.
There will be days when the the change threatens to crush you. On these days give yourself permission to momentarily escape. A movie, listening to music, going for a walk, dinner with loved ones, taking a bubble bath.
Good can always come from every change.
Complaining and negativity blocks your awareness of the positive aspects of the change. By focusing on the positives. Negative emotions will disappear. Allowing you to see the positive possibilities.
Accept the change.
There can be no going back to what was. Living in the past only robs you of the present. A present that is the foundation for a future of success and joy.
Yes, change is inevitable. Why? Growth requires change.
For a seed to become a plant— it must change. For a caterpillar to become a butterfly— it must change. For a girl to become a woman— she must change.
Embrace change as an opportunity to create something beautiful— a life of infinite possibilities.
Be a VOICE in the deafening sound of sameness!
