In the beginning the pursuit of the DREAM is exhilarating. Awakening each day thinking this could be the day when the DREAM becomes a reality.

But as time marches on the emotional high disappears. Left only with hard word. Questioning whether the DREAM is worth it. Many ultimately decide the cost is more than they are willing to pay. Choosing to exchange the DREAM for a life of safety and anonymity.

What can you do so your DREAM lives, not dies a senseless death? Count the cost before you begin. Every DREAM requires sacrifice and the bigger the DREAM— the bigger the sacrifice.

Be willing to say goodbye to

  • many of the nonessential expenditures of the past. The DREAM requires time, and time is money.
  • superficial relationships. With less time and money you quickly discover who were your friends only because of what you could do or buy for them.
  • anemic willpower. There will be days when others or even you will question you ability to persevere until your DREAM comes true.

Dreamers “whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon. There is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

Are you willing to look defeat in the face and say, “Not on my watch! The DREAM will live no matter the cost!”

Thanks for listening to my voice! Feel free to like and share it with your friends.
