Love one another as Jesus has loved us.

Holy-Ghost-Home-Page-DesignSunday I watched a powerful documentary, Holy Ghost. Raw. Authentic. Passionate. Assuring me there are others who believe the Holy Spirit is lovingly interacting with humanity here on earth.

“Can the Holy Spirit direct a movie? In this fast-paced documentary from the director of Finger of God, Furious Love and Father of Lights, Darren Wilson sets out to make a movie that is completely led by the Holy Spirit. No plan, no script, no safety net – just go wherever he feels the Spirit leading him to try and discover the adventure God has for him. Whether its the riches of Monte Carlo, a heavy metal concert, or the oldest city in the world, the result is a film that not only challenges and excites, but also reveals a God who is far more alive and active than you ever imagined.” (http://holyghost.wpfilm.com)

Although the documentary has not been released. I was able to watch it thanks to the generosity of Darren Wilson and Bethel Redding church. Who streamed it free for forty-eight hours. Additionally, one of my favorite bands— Jake Hamilton and the Sound performed.

So, Friday’s fanfare goes out to these individuals. Yes, they want to make money, but that isn’t their primary purpose for the project. It’s the message.

God, the Creator of the universe loves each of us. Seeing us individually, not just another face in the crowd. Present in our lives even when we are ignoring Him. Continually pursuing and wooing us with His love and goodness, especially His lost— prodigal children.

Yes, I am passionately in love with my Papa, Christ and the Holy Spirit. I am daily cognizant of their love and generosity.

“So, if you who are sinful know how to give your children good gifts. How much more so does your Father in heaven who is perfect know how to give great gifts to His children!”

This scripture came to my remembrance last night when I learned that the Holy Ghost tour would be coming to the Dallas area this Tuesday. Not originally on the tour’s itinerary. It has been added in lieu of Chicago.

A coincidence? I think not. It’s one of those great gifts my Papa is giving both my daughter and me. We both are huge Jake Hamilton fans.

So this Tuesday night you will find me graciously accepting Papa’s gift. Basking in His love. Once again hearing, “You are my beloved Rita.”

Come join me. It will be an unforgettable night!

I watched this too- the men are certainly passionate believers and their excitement came through beautifully. I didn’t find their experiences in imparting the Holy Spirit that convincing though; I was hoping for more ‘wow’ moments. I planned on buying the DVD but after watching it I don’t think I will. I’m glad I saw it though!

Hey Eva! I think that was his intention. To demonstrate how often we overlook His presence in our lives and the lives of others. Watch his film, Finger of God if you are looking for “wow” moments. Have a great weekend!
